Instructions
- Place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate shallow bowls.
- Season the breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each mozzarella cube into flour, then egg, then coat with seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry mozzarella bites until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with marinara sauce and fresh basil.
Notes
- For a healthier version, bake at 400°F for 10 minutes instead of frying.
- Ensure oil is hot enough to prevent cheese from seeping out.
