Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit until frothy (5 minutes).
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Divide dough into small pieces and roll into bites.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add baking soda.
  5. Boil pretzel bites in batches for 30 seconds, then remove with a slotted spoon.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with sea salt.
