- 4 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and half of the fried onions.
- Add the green beans and shredded cheese, mixing gently.
- Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.
- Top with remaining fried onions and bake an additional 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
Notes
- You can substitute fresh green beans with frozen ones, cooked and drained thoroughly.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or fresh thyme.
