  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a roll and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise for another 20 minutes.
  7. Mix minced garlic with a tablespoon of melted butter. Brush over the risen rolls.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with remaining butter and sprinkle with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
