Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together warm milk, pumpkin puree, melted butter, and egg.
- Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide dough into 12 equal pieces, shape into rolls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Ensure milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
- These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days.
