  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (350g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk eggs and vanilla. Add cooled chocolate mixture and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into wet ingredients.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers are soft.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
