Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh rosemary, chopped
- Coarse sea salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and transfer to a greased baking sheet.
- Gently press and spread the dough to fit the sheet. Use your fingertips to create dimples all over the surface.
- Mix remaining olive oil with minced garlic and brush over the dough. Sprinkle with rosemary and coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can add sliced onions or cherry tomatoes on top for variation.
- Use fresh herbs for best flavor.
- Serve with extra olive oil or balsamic vinegar for dipping.
