Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and transfer to a greased baking sheet.
  5. Gently press and spread the dough to fit the sheet. Use your fingertips to create dimples all over the surface.
  6. Mix remaining olive oil with minced garlic and brush over the dough. Sprinkle with rosemary and coarse sea salt.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
